Super Mario Bros. 3 is a legendary 2D side-scrolling platform game released for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in Japan in 1988 and North America in 1990. The Plot

The story follows Mario and Luigi as they journey across the Mushroom World to save Princess Peach and the rulers of seven distinct kingdoms. The villainous Bowser and his children, the Koopalings, have stolen the kings' magical wands, transforming the rulers into animals. The brothers must fight through each territory, reclaim the wands, and defeat Bowser.

• Overworld Map: Instead of moving linearly from level to level, players navigate a board-game-style grid. This lets you pick paths, bypass certain levels, visit Toad Houses for items, and play card-matching mini-games.
• Expanded Move Set: Mario can now slide down hills, climb vines, and pick up and throw blocks or shells.
• Inventory System: Players can store acquired power-ups on the world map and activate them before entering a level.
• Secret Warps: Players can find three hidden Warp Whistles to skip directly to later worlds.

 Iconic Power-Ups

• Super Leaf: Spawns a raccoon tail, allowing Mario to float downwards or fly if he builds up speed.
• Tanooki Suit: Grants flight capabilities and allows Mario to transform into an invincible stone statue.
• Frog Suit: Dramatically improves underwater swimming speed and precision.
• Hammer Suit: Allows Mario to chuck powerful hammers at tough enemies.
• Goomba's Shoe: Found exclusively in level 5-3, letting Mario hop safely over spikes and enemies.
