Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: Back from the Sewers is the direct sequel to Fall of the Foot Clan. Developed by Konami, this side-scrolling action game follows the four turtles as they attempt to rescue April O'Neil from Shredder and Krang. 

• Turtle Selection: Players can choose between all four turtles before each stage, each with distinct stats:
  • Donatello: Long range, slow attack.
  • Raphael: Short range, fast attack.
  • Leonardo & Michaelangelo: Balanced stats.
• Rescue Mechanic: If a turtle is defeated, they are captured. Players can attempt to free them in a Rescue Game by defeating the robot policeman REX-1 within a time limit.
• Bonus Rounds: If no turtles are captured, completing a level grants access to a bonus stage where you collect pizzas for health and points.
• Diverse Levels: The game spans six acts featuring platforming, skateboarding sequences, and scaling air lifts.
• Iconic Bosses: Battles include classic villains such as Bebop, Rocksteady, Baxter Stockman, and a final confrontation with Krang.
• Digitized Speech: It was one of the first Game Boy titles to include voice samples, such as "Cowabunga!" before levels and "Pizza time!" when paused.
