Unlike its beat-'em-up predecessors, it features a large, interconnected fortress where players must rescue their brothers to unlock new abilities and areas. 

• The Mission: You begin as Michelangelo and must infiltrate "Cyber Shredder's" fortress to rescue Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Splinter.
• Unique Turtle Abilities: Rescued turtles become playable characters with specific navigation skills:
• Michelangelo: Hovers/glides using his nunchucks like helicopter blades.
• Leonardo: Drills through certain floors and blocks with his katanas.
• Raphael: Tucks into his shell to squeeze through narrow passages.
• Donatello: Scales and climbs vertical walls.
• Exploration: The game features a Fortress Map to navigate through five sprawling areas and over 80 regions.
• Boss Battles: You must defeat "D-list" villains like Scratch, Dirtbag, Triceraton, and Scale Tail to acquire keys for the next jail cells.
